1. WHAT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?

a. Information Collection and Use

During the registration process, you will be asked to submit specific information needed to verify your eligibility to participate in the APViewpoint community. Your username, the state in which you practice, and your individual or firm’s assets under management (AUM) range will be available for viewing by other registered members and will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary.

Additional information in your personal profile is entirely optional and confidential. You can remove or alter it at any time. We may, in the future, include other optional requests for information from you.

We will not sell, share, transfer, or rent any personal information to others, except as disclosed in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.

b. IP Addresses

Our Web servers automatically recognize your domain name and the IP address from which you have accessed APViewpoint

c. Colleagues’ Email Addresses

You will be given the option to provide email addresses of colleagues to invite them to participate in APViewpoint. We will not use those email addresses for any other purpose. We will use your email address to copy you on the message or to send the email your behalf, and you hereby grant permission for such use.

d. User Preferences

Occasionally, APViewpoint may request information about our users' preferences. Participation is optional, and if you choose to respond, your responses will be kept private.

 

2. HOW IS INFORMATION USED?

a. Cookies

APViewpoint uses cookies to manage your log in and may use other cookies to enhance your experience. These cookies are deleted when you logout. You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing your browser preferences, but this will impact your experience on the site.

b. Log Files

APViewpoint may use the data accessed through IP addresses in its aggregate and anonymous form to analyze trends, administer the site, and/or track user actions.

c. Sale of Assets, Merger, Acquisition, Bankruptcy

Information collected from you may be transferred to a third party as a result of a sale or acquisition, merger, or bankruptcy involving Advisor Perspectives.

d. Sharing

APViewpoint may share aggregated demographic information with APViewpoint's partners. This does not contain any personal information.

e. Spam

APViewpoint maintains a "no-spam" policy that is fully compliant with the Can-Spam Act of 2003.

f. Legal Requests

APViewpoint takes your right to privacy seriously. APViewpoint will disclose your personal information only in the event that it is required to do so by law, rule, regulation, law enforcement, governmental official, legal authority, or similar requirements.

 

3. HOW IS INFORMATION PROTECTED?

a. Confidentiality and Security:

APViewpoint takes all necessary precautions to protect your personal information. When APViewpoint requests that you enter sensitive information online, that information is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), SHA1 with RSA encryption, which encrypts the information you input with the highest level of security currently available.

Access to your personal (non-public) information is limited to Advisor Perspectives employees and contractors.  We may, however, use that information as part of our promotional efforts, without revealing your identity.  For example, you may elect to “follow” certain asset classes, funds, or ETFs, and we may send invitations to webinars based on your preferences.

  

4. CORRECTING INACCURACIES

a. Correction/Updating/Deleting Personal Information

If your personally identifiable information needs to be updated, you can do so in the Account settings page under your Profile.

b. Notification of Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post notice that this Privacy Policy has changed under the Privacy Policy section of the site. The revised terms will take effect when they are posted. Your continued use of the site after such time will signify your acceptance of the new terms.

c. Consent to This Policy

The Terms of Use Agreement is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

d. Opt Out Procedures

You may opt-out of receiving all communications except site and service-related notifications from APViewpoint at any time in the My Account section under Alert Preferences.
